EMPOWERING THE CACAO COMMUNITIES IN COLOMBIA
In Aroco, we support members of cacao communities throughout training programs in which they can learn and apply the best agricultural practices. We provide them with technical and administrative assistance in order to ensure the economic well-being of their families.

We are strategic allies of diverse agricultural cooperatives and cacao producers. We seek to create collection points in order to guarantee an optimal quality of cacao, fair prices, training, and support for members and their families.

We seek to create strategic alliances with experts across different fields in order to ensure that our processes employ the best technological resources and follow strict and high- standards.
FARMERS AND SUPPLIERS
In order to offer premium products, we partner with cacao communities across Colombia. We collaborate with big associations that have extensive experience in cacao plantations.
CHAPARRAL
Aroco has its own post harvest center where we buy cacao pulp and dry cacao from more than 300 cacao families.

TUMACO
Tumaco is one of the biggest cacao regions in Colombia, but also one of the most affected places by armed conflict and narcotraffic.
In this region, we have commercial agreements with two community councils: the Consejo Comunitario Bocas de Curay ASPROCET composed of 120 cacao families and the Consejo Comunitario del Bajo Mira y Frontera with more than 250 cacao families.

NILO
Aroco’s farm is located in Nilo, Cundinamarca. We have a post harvest center where we process our own and third parties cacao.
It is in our warehouse of 800 m2 where reception, selection, collection and packaging of products take place.

- Own cacao (Organic certification in process): 12 tons per year
- Regular cacao from third parties: 80 tons per year
